Ascension of the Split-Horn

'Ascension of the Split-Horn' is one of the toughest pieces I, a rookie digital artist, have ever made. I always loved the Gundam universe and the Unicorn even more. Therefore, I figured that it is about time I made a piece with the Unicorn in it.

Due to the lack of free quality images of the Unicorn online, I had to bring out my PG model of the Unicorn and snapped a photo of it before loading it into Photoshop. Colour correction was a challenge here due to my lack of experience which resulted in me taking longer than necessary to complete this piece. But after 2 days of painting and compositing, this was the result. It looked better than what I had expected. To be honest, I even contemplated ditching it halfway because I couldn't get the colours to match. Thankfully, I persevered and the hard work finally paid off. I'm now a happy and satisfied boy.
